I'm in a blogging funk. I want to write. I have lots to say. I have lots I want to journal and remember, but just can't seem to do it! We have so much going on in our lives right now and there are times when I just feel like I'm trying to keep my head above water. We've been really busy and have had lots of time up north at my in-laws cabin. I think we've been up there already more this year than all of last year. And we're going on another week long vacation soon. Fun times! And of course I have about 1000 pictures to sift through from the past couple of months. I'm still trying to figure out how to use Photoshop. Uhg! It's not very user friendly.
This week we will be blessed with 4 Okoboji Camp Counselors! 3 boys and a girl. What to feed 4 college age kids!?!? Needless to say, this house will be rocking tomorrow night. Then we send Mackenzie off to her first camp. She'll be gone for 5 days. Wow! I pray that it will be a life changing experience for her.
I will leave you with a few prayer requests:
- Pray for protection for Mackenzie while she is at camp (physical, emotional, and spiritual)
- Pray for wisdom and guidance for us as Dave looks for a new job
- Pray for God to continue to provide for our needs
- Pray for continued healing for my back
- Pray for the counselors as they drive up from Iowa on Sunday
- Pray that the camp they are leading is one that touches the hearts of the children and the families
If you have any prayer requests, you can click at the top right column where it says prayer requests.
Thanks so much...blessings to you all!
Welcome to our journey. The purpose of my blog is not only to journal our life experience, but also to share what God is doing in our lives. I do not claim to be an expert in parenting, marriage, or even the Bible. But I do have a heart to share my experiences and the true love that God has for each and every one of us. You can read our testimony by clicking on the top of the page. And if you'd like to know about the Homeless Ministry my husband started, you can click on the Homeless tab. I hope you will comment freely on my posts and in my community.
I'm working to push through the bloggy funk as well - must be all of the summertime activities (we're too busy enjoying). At least, that's the excuse I'm going with.
