Welcome to our journey. The purpose of my blog is not only to journal our life experience, but also to share what God is doing in our lives. I do not claim to be an expert in parenting, marriage, or even the Bible. But I do have a heart to share my experiences and the true love that God has for each and every one of us. You can read our testimony by clicking on the top of the page. And if you'd like to know about the Homeless Ministry my husband started, you can click on the Homeless tab. I hope you will comment freely on my posts and in my community.

My Hope is in the Lord

When you are in a trial or are in the midst of a storm, where do you go? Who do you cry out to? I have learned a few things over the past couple of years. One is that when I face a storm I can do a few things. I have choices. I can get angry and stay angry. I can cry and keep on crying. I can curl up in a ball and shut everyone out. I can take it out on those I love. I can focus on my problems and worry about them constantly.

Or I can put my trust and hope in the Lord. I can press on. I can cry out to the Lord. I can pray and turn my worries over. When I do this...I find peace that surpasses all understanding.

There are times when I do need to cry. But I can't stay there. I must let go.
There are times when my anger is righteous. But there I must not stay.
There are times when I worry...but worry does me no good. I must let go.
I can't put my hope in the things of this world.
I put my hope in the Lord.
I won't let my trials take over my life. I will tackle them.

Are you struggling today? If so, I would say to put your hope in the Lord.
Thank Him for all things. Give Him your fears and worries.
Focus on the good things and things that are right.
Pray. Pray. Pray.
If you do this...you will have peace that surpasses all understanding.
Read Philippians 4. This is one of my favorite passages and I know I've said this before but I will say it again. It is a powerful chapter!

A song that puts my feelings into perfect words...I love this song and wanted to share it with you!

LORD...my hope is in You! You are amazing! Thank you Lord!
