Well, it's Monday. Not Me Monday! You can click here to see more Not Me Monday Posts. You know, if you have time, if you'd rather laugh than wash your floor!
I most certainly did not let Hailey have chips, salsa and a cookie for dinner last night. And it was most certainly not in front of a house full of guests. What kind of mother would that make me?
I did not decide at 2:00 yesterday that it would be a fantastic idea to cook home-made enchiladas and spanish rice for about 20 people that would be arriving at 5:00. Which was a last minute party anyways...that was of course not planned by my hubby. And of course, I did not have to still go to the store. It was not 3:30 by the time I actually got home from the store which didn't give me only 90 minutes to do what usually takes a few hours. Not me, that would be crazy. Of course, ask me if I pulled it off???!!!
I did not decide to stop right in the middle of this post to stop writing about funny things because I'm thinking about my husband's cousin, who is right now in ICU. She was 9 months pregnant and went in to the hospital last Friday with a high fever. Suddenly the baby's heart stopped and they rushed her in for an emergency C-Section. They could not revive the baby and he died. Please pray for her, her husband and their entire family. Pray for her recovery right now...physically. But also the pain of losing their son.
Psalm 9:1 "I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders."
Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
Hold tight to the Lord our God friends.
Christine
Welcome to our journey. The purpose of my blog is not only to journal our life experience, but also to share what God is doing in our lives. I do not claim to be an expert in parenting, marriage, or even the Bible. But I do have a heart to share my experiences and the true love that God has for each and every one of us. You can read our testimony by clicking on the top of the page. And if you'd like to know about the Homeless Ministry my husband started, you can click on the Homeless tab. I hope you will comment freely on my posts and in my community.
I found you through Bring the Rain and wanted to let you know that your family is in my prayers - praying for comfort and a peaceful heart for Kristin and her husband and praying for the lost baby as he goes to meet our Lord.
