Welcome to our journey. The purpose of my blog is not only to journal our life experience, but also to share what God is doing in our lives. I do not claim to be an expert in parenting, marriage, or even the Bible. But I do have a heart to share my experiences and the true love that God has for each and every one of us. You can read our testimony by clicking on the top of the page. And if you'd like to know about the Homeless Ministry my husband started, you can click on the Homeless tab. I hope you will comment freely on my posts and in my community.

We did it! 40,000 sandwiches!

Wow! We did it! I can't believe we made 40,000 sandwiches. Actually, we could've probably made 80,000! It was such a fun time. All the hard work was worth every minute. God really provided me with volunteers at the very minute I needed them. He is so faithful!

We even made the Channel 9 and Channel 4 news. Channel 4 was the best because they covered the part that is very important. The part that tells that ANYONE can do this. It doesn't have to be on this large of a scale. YOU and your family or your group can make sandwiches in your home. Visit 363 Days for more details. It's so easy you won't believe it!

Romans 15:1 from The Message: Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, "How can I help?"

As soon as I get my home computer hooked up I'll post some pictures. I'm taking the week off to get settled into our home and hopefully catch up on some blogging too!

Today, I'm thinking about, praying for, and wishing a Happy Birthday to McKenna Olson. She would've been 4 years old today! She died at the age of 15 months from Alper's disease. Her brother died just 11 months earlier from the same thing. Very sad, very heart breaking. McKenna saw me at church the most. She always grabbed my key chain from my neck. I wish she were here to do that. She was just so sweet. Stop by her caringbridge site and leave a comment. They are a family who continues to give back despite their pain and I really respect them for it.

Love your children, your family, your friends and your neighbor with all your heart!

Bless someone today! Share what you did and inspire others!

  1. Well done faithful servant! I was trying to find the video clips from the news online? Do you know if I can watch the news clips on their websites?

  2. Thanks Jen! It's easy to serve a God like ours isn't it? :) I'm not sure. I was trying to find them as well because Pastor Bill didn't get to see them. Kristen B. is going to contact the news stations to get a clean video. I'll have her check to see how to get them online. Let me know if you find them as well.
