Welcome to our journey. The purpose of my blog is not only to journal our life experience, but also to share what God is doing in our lives. I do not claim to be an expert in parenting, marriage, or even the Bible. But I do have a heart to share my experiences and the true love that God has for each and every one of us. You can read our testimony by clicking on the top of the page. And if you'd like to know about the Homeless Ministry my husband started, you can click on the Homeless tab. Random thoughts post surgery....

Thank you for all your prayers. My surgery went well and as planned. The doctor did find some abnormalities on my fallopian tube. He removed it and sent it to the lab. I should hear by early next week. My prayer would be that it was nothing but that we will have an answer. It could be endometriosis, but he's not sure. I'll guess I'll wait...ha...not like I have a choice.

I'm feeling a little better tonight. Last night was rough. Hopefully, I will have a better night tonight and then will go home tomorrow. I hope to upload a ton of pics once I'm at home.

Both Dave and I were accepted into our Potter's Wheel program at church. We start in August. I'm going to get an early start and dig in with studying Church History. Wahoo! :) Actually, I think I am slightly excited to get started on that. Or maybe it's just the drugs talking right now. PW is an intense 2 year leadership program. I fully expect to be at least 10% smarter when I'm done!

I talked to my kiddos today. Well, 3 out of 4 of them on the phone, and the oldest via FB chat. They're all going to the cabin this weekend. I know they'll have a ton of fun. I can't wait to see pictures. *hint, hint! I miss my kids like crazy!

As for my plans for this weekend? Hmmm...maybe I'll weed my garden...or not! I do hope to get out on Sunday to see the fireworks and to see some friends who are visiting from out of state. I guess we'll see how it goes. For now, I do plan to rest and do some reading.

Ok, well it's time for my walk and a trip to the bathroom. Both of which take forever with my IV cart to bring with me. Have a safe and blessed weekend everyone!

  2. Make sure you rest and don't over do it.

I've had endometriosis for years. Every few years I have a laporoscopy to "clean" me out, and I'm well again for a time.

I'll be keeping you in my prayers.

Congrats on the acceptance into the PW at your church. It sounds like it will be quite a lot of work, yet rewarding in many ways.

Does it prepare you for church leadership, or just Kingdom leadership?

    Blessings my friend.

  3. Thanks ladies!

PW prepares for both. It's really tailored around whatever I want it to be.

  5. I am glad everything went well! Get your rest. I wanted you to know I gave your blog an award. You can see it on my blog. I don't want to give you extra work to do so I totally understand if you don't have the time to do anything with it! I just enjoy reading your blog and wanted you to be recognized! ~Kimberly
